Halloween 2010

Aaron and I have an annual pumpkin carving contest, and here's what we came up with this year. I'm not sure who won since we both say the other person should win (that doesn't happen very often!).

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Fountain!

Zoë had a blast with Grandma Andrea and Grandpa Steve this weekend! She had so much fun celebrating her birthday with them and Grandma and Grandpa Bronner! Here are some pictures from the rest of the weekend:

We had a fun day at the zoo! Here they are in front of the monkeys who were being very loud. It was a cooler day, so all of the animals had energy to be active and show off for us!

Cabin!

We have some very exciting news!!! We just bought a lake cabin! It's at Lake Cascade (about 2 hours from our house and right across the lake from Tamarack Ski Resort). Aaron and I both LOVED our grandparents' lake cabins and have so many great memories there. We can't wait to start making memories for Zoe at our new getaway! Come visit for a summer weekend at the lake or a winter ski trip!

City of Trees 1/2 Marathon

I am very happy to say that I finished my 2nd 1/2 marathon yesterday!!! I set a goal for myself to complete a 1/2 within a year of having Zoë and I made it with a few weeks to spare! I was feeling like I would be quite a bit slower for this one, but was only 2 minutes behind, finishing in exactly 2 hours. Here is a picture of my friend Niffer (this was her first 1/2) with Zoe and me just after finishing.

Portland Trip

Aaron had an Optometry conference in Portland last week, so we had a good excuse to head over and catch up with friends and Benny and Sabrina.

My friend, Nicole, went above and beyond (as usual) and had a birthday party for Zoe (a month early). Zoe wasn't quite sure what to do with the cake at first, but then got the hang of it. I'm sure she'll acquire a sweet tooth before long :)

Zoe met some new baby friends while we were in town. These are babies of Aaron's optometry classmates. Finnegan (7 months old) and Brooke (just 2 weeks younger than Zoe).
